TASK: Develop a front bezel and user interface for one of SDM's clients. It needed to enhance a plain instrument used for hemodyalysis.The main task was to create an array of input and output devices that the end user could intuitively interface with. Also of importance was tooling and piece price costs.

RESULT: We developed the main interface using an LCD screen with smart buttons and a scroll feature that allowed the user to easily move about the various screens required for the instruments operation. To keep costs down we designed the bezel to be molded with no slides. We molded the buttons in groups, with the spring returns a built-in feature. Not shown is the main PC board that mounts up against the buttons, with the relevant switches and LCD mounted to it.
